Grace Before and After Meals
Blessing food is one of the most ancient Christian practices (1 Tim 4:4-5).
Before:
Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts,
which we are about to receive from Thy bounty,
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
After:
We give Thee thanks, almighty God, for all Thy benefits,
who livest and reignest for ever and ever.
Amen.
May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
