The Three O'Clock Prayer
Saint Faustina Kowalska recorded these invocations in her Diary during the revelations that nourished devotion to the Divine Mercy. The first appears in entry 1319, and the invocation of the Blood and Water appears in entry 84. The prayer recalls Christ's death on the Cross and the mercy that flows from His pierced Heart. Catholics commonly pray it at three o'clock, the hour traditionally associated with the Lord's death, as part of the Hour of Great Mercy. It is especially offered for sinners and for the whole world, with trust in the inexhaustible mercy of Jesus.
