Day 1

A Mother Draws Near

Mary’s appearance at Tepeyac shows the tenderness of her maternal care. She comes as the Mother of the true God, never drawing attention away from her Son. Her closeness helps you trust that heaven is not indifferent to your needs. Bring your intentions to her with simplicity, especially the needs you find difficult to name. Day 2

The Humble Messenger

Saint Juan Diego received Mary’s message with humility. He did not consider himself important, yet he made himself available for a task that required courage and persistence. God often works through those who know their dependence on him. You do not need influence or perfect confidence to serve Christ faithfully. Ask Our Lady to teach you Juan Diego’s readiness, so that you can carry out the duties before you without seeking praise or giving way to discouragement.

Patient Discernment

The bishop did not immediately accept Juan Diego’s account. This delay became part of God’s providence rather than a defeat. The Church has a duty to test extraordinary claims carefully, and genuine faith is not harmed by prudent discernment. When your prayers seem unanswered, remain truthful and patient. Ask Mary to guard you from resentment and haste. She can help you respect the Church’s wisdom while continuing to present your needs with confidence in God’s time.

Faithful Perseverance

Juan Diego returned to Tepeyac and continued the mission Mary had given him. His obedience did not remove every obstacle, but it kept him close to God’s purpose. Perseverance often consists of doing the next faithful thing without seeing the final result. Bring Mary the work, relationship, or responsibility that has left you weary. Ask her to strengthen your resolve, purify your motives, and keep you faithful when progress is hidden or slower than you hoped.

Care in Affliction

When Juan Diego’s uncle became gravely ill, concern for his family weighed heavily upon him. Mary did not dismiss that concern. She met him in the midst of it and showed that his family’s need was known to her. You can bring illness, fear, and family burdens to Our Lady without hiding their seriousness. Ask her to intercede for the sick, to comfort those who care for them, and to help you fulfill your duties with trust in Christ.

Under Mary’s Protection

Mary provided roses as a sign for the bishop, and Juan Diego gathered them in his tilma as she directed. The sign was received through simple obedience. God may ask you to carry out ordinary acts whose importance you cannot yet see. Ask Our Lady for a docile heart that listens before acting and obeys without demanding full understanding. May your daily choices become offerings to Christ, who can use even small acts of fidelity for purposes greater than you know.

The image of Guadalupe invites you to remember Mary’s humility, purity, and complete dedication to her Son. Ask her to make your home and heart more attentive to Christ. Let every sign of devotion bear fruit in prayer, repentance, charity, and deeper participation in the life of the Church.

On this final day, entrust your faith and your future to her intercession. Ask for burning charity toward your neighbor, hope amid every bitterness, and the gift of final perseverance. May she keep you close to Christ throughout your life and at the hour of death.
